On November 13, 2011, Fort Mifflin once again held its annual Siege Of Fort Mifflin Revolutionary War Reenactment. The actual Battle took place 234 years ago. This blog entry features many photographs and a video of the event.
The Living Historians lined up after the Battle ...
Here is a wreath showing this as being the 234th Anniversary:
I picked up this really cool mouse pad in the gift shop at the Fort. I am using it right now!
Here are two videos of the Reenactment [I tried (for days) to upload one nine-minute, thirty-nine-second video to youtube, but the website would not allow it so I had to split the footage into two parts] ...

Lovely work Living historians/reenactors are the backbone of any historic site. They present history in a way that engages visitors of every age. We will be collecting photos and stories from living historians/reenactors to be included in a book called "Fort Mifflin Memories." Profit from the sales of the publication will be donated to the Olde Fort Mifflin Historical Society to further the hobby that for decades has "Brought History to Life at Fort Mifflin" email us at thefmhs@gmail.com if you would like to be part of the project
ReplyDeleteHello. Thank you for the comment and the information. I will send an e-mail message soon. By the way, I just embedded two videos from the event into this blog entry.
ReplyDeleteHi, Michael,
ReplyDeleteI love your re-enactment photos of Fr. Mifflin, and wondered if it would be possible to use them -- with a credit line to you -- in an upcoming issue of the Society Hill Reporter in Philadelphia.
Can you get back to me on this? murfman1@comcast.net
